LOVING THE LOST & THE NEEDY
Serving others and loving those who are not as fortunate as I am is a passion that has been engraved in my DNA. As long as I can remember, I have been helping others with joy. Even when I was in primary school, I remember removing my shoes to give to another girl whose toe was bleeding because she hit a rock while running. In the boarding school, I used to take so much food to share with others who came from poor families, especially rice and hard mandazi (like Donuts) that does not spoil quickly. I believe this is because I know what Jesus said in Matthew 25: believe this is because I know what Jesus said in Matthew 25: 4:20……….
I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger, you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison and you came and visited me…. whatever you did for one of the least of these…you did it for me”
Also, James 1:27 says, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world” Being involved in humanitarian work is simply being Human – I strive to be Light and Salt anywhere and with anyone. We encourage more people to be in partnership with us to do more projects.
